    Marcela DiBlasi

    Mellon Faculty Fellow at Dartmouth College

    Marcela Di Blasi is an academic and assistant professor specializing in Latin American, Latinx, and Caribbean Studies at Dartmouth College. She holds a Ph.D. in English from New York University, an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and a BA from Williams College. Her research focuses on Latinx literature, popular culture, and multi-ethnic speculative fiction, with particular attention to generational conflict, spirituality, and aging. Her current book project explores the intersection of storytelling and reproductive labor in Latinx literature. Additionally, she has a keen interest in how literature envisions better futures by focusing on the experiences of the very young and the elderly.12

    Marcela was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Beyond her academic pursuits, she has been involved with JAG Productions since its inception and joined its board in 2020. She also serves on the Hanover School Board and resides in Hanover with her family.1
