Marcel Knijn

Marcel Knijn is a highly experienced manager, project leader, and consultant with exceptional skills in successfully managing and executing complex projects. He is a forward-thinking, result-driven, and proactive professional with a coach-like leadership style. Marcel is the current Head of Business Operations for the Area Teams and Sub-specialties at GGz Centraal in the Flevoland region. He is the founder of Breyting Consultancy, where he offered project management and interim management services.

Marcel has also worked as a Consultant at Paralia and as a Project Coordinator and Project Leader at Saltro. He has extensive experience in implementing lab diagnostics at leading GGZ organizations, conducting independent diagnostics and one-and-a-half line care services with InEen, and developing care plans for various Saltro patients. Marcel was also part of the advisory team tasked with restructuring various functions in the intramural and extramural care settings at Zorggroep Almere.

In his previous role as a Health Manager for four healthcare centers, Marcel was responsible for supervising teams of up to 175 employees in various disciplines, including home care, pharmacy, midwifery, physiotherapy, general practitioners, and youth health care. Marcel also managed to coordinate the fysiotherapy division at Zorggroep, bringing him essential skills in business development, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.
