Marc Zirlinger is a distinguished law enforcement professional with a remarkable career at the New York City Police Department. He received the NYPD's Mayor's Award for his top-ranking performance in his graduating class of over 2000 police officers at the New York City Police Academy.
Currently serving in the Office of Management Analysis and Planning (OMAP), Marc is part of the NYPD's premier think tank responsible for policy and strategy development, research, and analytics. OMAP is instrumental in providing thought leadership to Department executives and influencing the direction of the Department through deep analyses and innovative policies.
With a background in Philosophy, Politics, and Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Binghamton University, Marc Zirlinger brings a unique perspective and critical thinking skills to his role as Lieutenant in OMAP. He efficiently leads a team of law enforcement analysts in developing strategies, policies, and pilot programs that directly impact the operational and investigative capabilities of the NYPD.
Throughout his career, Marc has held various roles within the NYPD, including serving as a Police Lieutenant in the Transit Bureau Special Operations District and Transit District 23. He has also contributed his expertise as a Police Sergeant in OMAP's Special Projects Unit, Police Service Area (PSA) 2, and the 111 Precinct.
