Marc Weinstein

Marc Weinstein is a Partner at Mechanism Capital, where he serves as the Head of Portfolio Development. His role involves supporting entrepreneurs in the Web3 space by helping them with revenue generation, recruiting, and fundraising. Since co-founding Mechanism Capital in 2020, he has significantly expanded the firm's portfolio from one to over eighty companies, focusing on decentralized finance (DeFi) and other blockchain-related ventures.12

Before joining Mechanism Capital, Weinstein was a Principal at Wave Financial, where he led investments in various blockchain projects and was instrumental in deploying over $10 million across more than 20 portfolio companies. His experience also includes roles in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Jefferies & Company, where he advised on mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buyouts.23

In addition to his investment work, Weinstein is an active angel investor and startup advisor, with a focus on Web3, mental health, and digital wellness. He is also a certified yoga instructor, integrating the principles of yoga into his professional life.123 Weinstein holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.3
