Work Winning Director

I have been leading multi-disciplinary teams in strategic bidding and project delivery in the UK infrastructure sector for 25 years - securing a range of partnering focused projects with a capital value in excess of £2b. I have 15 years’ experience at Director level including multiple board directorships covering corporate governance, financial planning and investment management.  

I specialise in establishing teams to work collaboratively with public and private sector partners to deliver infrastructure building assets, service delivery requirements and long-term concession management functions on revenue funding, capital and framework infrastructure programmes. 

My director level responsibilities include working as part of a senior management team leading a business with 30 employees providing a range of front end project management consultancy services targeting long term partnerships which generate multiple revenue stream opportunities. I have developed strong skills in leadership, budget setting, business planning, market analysis, client relationships, bid strategy, supply chain assembly and effective communication strategies.

As a result of my growing expertise in major project negotiations I was promoted to Group Business Development Manager. My principal responsibility was to secure and convert, in joint venture with project funders, long term revenue earning business streams in the privately financed (PFI) health and education sectors.

Appointed to the role of Marketing Manager with a remit to implement a series of major growth strategies aimed at increasing company turnover and profitability in line with key business objectives.

Reporting directly to the company Managing Director I was required to progress the company’s activities in major construction in accordance with planned short and long term strategic objectives.

AMEC

Commenced employment with AMEC reporting to the companies Marketing Director. This position was created as part of the company’s graduate recruitment programme in order to introduce graduates into AMEC’s sales, marketing, public relations & research function.

This was a six-month self-secured sandwich work placement.
