Marc Bickman is a seasoned data professional with years of experience managing teams, developing processes, and implementing successful data analytics initiatives. With a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Columbia University and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the City University of New York-Baruch College, Bickman has a strong foundation in both business strategy and operations.
In his current role as Vice President and Data Governance Lead at U.S. Bank, Bickman manages a team of 17 global data professionals in governance and operations. He oversaw the creation of operations and governance process presentations to ensure that data was managed to the highest standards. Bickman also works closely with the business segment to understand their data needs and worked with Business Operations, Risk, and Technology to implement Data Analytics initiatives.
Bickman's experience in data management extends beyond U.S. Bank. He served as the founding member of Capital Markets Data Program and developed an enterprise system that gathers data from multiple vendors covering the global debt markets. This data is remapped and handled to fit the data models that clients require for business intelligence. He also developed security protocols based on business needs that were managed by his team to mitigate regulatory issues allowing the right information to be received by the right people.
Bickman's contributions to data have had a significant impact on U.S. Bank's revenue. Over ten years, his managed data has had a positive impact of $200 million on revenue at a total cost of about $12 million.
Prior to joining U.S. Bank, Bickman worked at Bank of America, Standard & Poor's, MSCI Inc., and First Investors Corporation. In his spare time, he worked as a chef at Marriott Hotels.
