Marc-Antoine Burgener, a 25-year-old entrepreneur and sports enthusiast, completed his Bachelor's in Management at HEC Lausanne in 2015. He is deeply passionate about action sports, particularly freestyle skiing and surfing.
After his studies, Marc-Antoine ventured into managing his brother, Pat Burgener, a professional snowboarder and musician. Concurrently, he co-founded ALAÏA with his friends, Romain and Adam, focusing on creating and managing action sports centers.
In 2016, Marc-Antoine and his team successfully raised over 100,000 Swiss francs through crowdfunding. This initial boost enabled them to establish the Alaïa Chalet, the first action sports center in French-speaking Switzerland, inaugurated in Crans-Montana in 2018. They also began developing Switzerland's first surf pool in Valais.
