Mara studied Muziekwetenschappen at the University of Amsterdam and holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design Engineering, a Master of Science in Design for Interaction, and a Master's degree in Science Education & Communication from reputable institutions such as Delft University of Technology and ESoE at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. Mara has an extensive professional history with various roles in the education sector. Currently serving as a Docent Onderzoek & Ontwerpen (O&O) at Metis Montessori Lyceum, Mara has previously held positions such as Technator at Ichthus Lyceum, Docent Natuur en Techniek at Nova College, and Docent procestechniek en rekenen MBO3 en 4 at Tata Steel.
