Mara Lewis

Mara Lewis is a seasoned serial entrepreneur and staunch advocate of innovation who has successfully established three tech startups and currently serves as the co-founder of ID8 Innovation.

With a rich background in the startup ecosystem, Mara previously held the position of Managing Director at Start Co., a seed stage accelerator and venture fund, where she played a pivotal role in fostering early-stage companies.

Noteworthy for her leadership and influence in the tech industry, Mara has held significant positions such as the Board Member of the Consumer Technology Association and oversaw a $100 million fund as part of the Investment Committee.

Mara is widely recognized as a thought leader for women in technology and made significant contributions by launching Upstart, one of the nation's pioneering accelerators and funds specifically tailored for women-led tech startups in 2013.

Driven by a passion for empowering founders, Mara actively provides support through mentorship, capital investment, and technical guidance, aiming to cultivate a thriving startup ecosystem.

Mara Lewis currently resides in San Francisco, California, while also maintaining a secondary residence in Memphis, TN, to support and engage startups in burgeoning tech hubs outside of the conventional centers.
