I lead the team to provide the Query/SQL interfaces as the first-class interfaces for most Data Analytics scenarios, democratizing big data analysis to non-engineers, like scientists, and analysts. We improve the ease of ad-hoc data analysis for BI, prototyping, opportunity sizing, and debugging of production issues, so customers and partners can get insights and make rapid decisions to maximize revenue and efficiency on Twitter-scale data without developing complicated distributed applications.

I lead the Real-Time Compute team at Twitter. The team provides the core analytics engine and tools to cope with ever-increasing volumes of data in real time - and then provide instant insights to the company’s most critical and fundamental data problems.

Led development of GCC compiler plugin, to extract meta-data similar to DWARF.

Led the investigation into user needs and software requirements; drove the design of the corresponding functions with JAVA.
Implemented image processing algorithms such as HDR. Improved functionality, through the use of JNI with C, by decreasing processing time on early Android mobile devices

Product City Eye:
Designed a low-cost and flexible hardware/software solution to help drivers find an available parking lot quickly to reduce emissions and pollution.
Designed solution architecture; Developed the whole front-end of City Eye with Silverlight. Developed back-end utilizing C# and SQL server
