Maneesha Sudheer is a distinguished professional currently serving as the Dean of the International Programs and the Director & Professor of the AMRITA Center for Wireless Networks & Applications at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (AMRITA University).
With a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, India, Maneesha's extensive research on 'Wireless sensor networks for landslide detection' has been groundbreaking.
Her work led to the deployment of the world's first real-time wireless sensor network for landslide detection and the development of a significant landslide simulation laboratory setup.
Noteworthy accolades include a US patent and the Rural Innovation Award in 2012 from NABARD, Government of India.
Maneesha Sudheer has held key roles such as the Chairperson for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Principal Investigator for multiple research projects, many of which were international undertakings.
She obtained her MBA degree with specializations in Systems Management and Finance Management from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and holds a B.Tech. degree in Production Engineering from Kerala University.
Her research interests span across wireless networks, wireless sensor networks, real-time systems, algorithm development, mobile communication networks, small cell networks, and smart grids, among others.
As an Editor for Ad Hoc Networks and with over 70 international publications, including three best paper awards, Maneesha Sudheer has made significant contributions to the field.
