Malia Chow is a highly experienced Branch Head with a strong background in government administration, specializing in Environmental Awareness, Natural Resource Management, Climate Change, and Ecology.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Washington and a Doctorate in cell and molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Malia has held significant roles in various organizations, including Branch Chief at NOAA Habitat Conservation Division, where she focused on Essential Fish Habitat and Pacific Marine National Monuments.
Prior to that, she was the Sanctuary Superintendent at NOAA Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary and involved in international capacity building programs at NOAA Office of National Marine Sanctuaries.
