In 2003, Makarand founded Braves Technologies, a versatile IT services company dedicated to aiding global technology firms in establishing and expanding their engineering teams in India, leveraging a vast network of professionals to deliver top-notch solutions and ensure client satisfaction across various domains and technologies.

His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Rent-A-Sourcer in 2021, a unique subscription-based talent sourcing service geared towards streamlining and expediting the recruitment process for businesses. The service is facilitated by certified talent sourcers who handle tasks such as sourcing, shortlisting, candidate outreach, and scheduling interviews, aiming to streamline the recruitment cycle and enable recruiters to focus on candidate closures.
