Maja Gajic

Maja Gajic is a highly educated professional with a diverse background in electrical engineering, sustainable energy, and mechanical engineering. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from RMIT University, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Melbourne, and a Master's in Energy Engineering with a focus on sustainable energy from RMIT University. Her research interests revolve around renewable energy, with a particular emphasis on solar technologies.

Maja's academic journey reflects her dedication to exploring innovative solutions in the field of sustainable energy. Her PhD thesis focused on the application of novel technologies in designing solar collectors, showcasing her expertise and commitment to advancing renewable energy systems. She is a firm believer in the transformative power of solar technologies, especially photovoltaics, in improving the lives of individuals living in poverty.

Apart from her academic pursuits, Maja has actively contributed to various organizations, including roles such as an Electrical Engineer at Azzo Pty Ltd, Project Manager at Fosera, Technical Advisor at Envirogroup, Energy Systems Engineer at Green Power Solutions Pty Ltd, and Technical Advisor at Its Time Foundation. She also held the position of President of the RMIT University Chapter at Engineers Without Borders Australia, demonstrating her leadership abilities and commitment to social and environmental causes. Through her internship at Minvayu Small Wind, she gained practical experience in the renewable energy sector.
