Maina Handmaker

Maina Handmaker is a dedicated individual with a diverse professional background. She pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies at Bowdoin College before embarking on a journey of academic and practical experiences. Maina has enriched her knowledge through her academic pursuits as a former Ph.D. student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the University of South Carolina. Her passion for environmental conservation led her to roles such as Shorebird Technician at the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Communications Specialist at the Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network (WHSRN) at Manomet. She also served as a communications intern and co-lead bander at Manomet, showcasing her multifaceted skills.
