Mahesh Narayanan is a successful founder, experienced investor, and accelerator director with a robust background in biotechnology spanning over 15 years. He has 10 years of experience as a founder of two companies in the Life Sciences and Technology sectors, with one successful exit.
Currently serving as the Managing Partner at Neuvation Ventures and Co-founder of MatchPlay, Mahesh Narayanan is deeply involved in the startup ecosystem. He is also an angel investor and mentor for over 10 startup companies focusing on life sciences, particularly in neurotech, Brain Health, and other DeepTech innovations.
Mahesh Narayanan's specialties include biotechnology, immunoinformatics, vaccine development, oncology, strategy development, business management, new product launch, intellectual property licensing, and venture financing. His educational background includes a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in History/Pre-Medical from Boston University.
Throughout his career, Mahesh Narayanan has held various key roles in different organizations. He was the Chief Executive Officer at MatchPlay, the Managing Partner at Neuvation Ventures, and the Co-Founder of PepVax, Inc. Additionally, he has served as a Program Adviser - Series A at ASTRALABS, a Venture Partner at ASTRALABS, and has been an Independent Consultant. He was also the Founder and CEO of Can-Scope, which had a successful exit. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, he worked as a Researcher at GlaxoSmithKline, an Adjunct Professor at Philadelphia University, and held roles such as Project Manager/Independent Contractor at Penn Biotech Group at The Wharton School of Business, Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, and Research Assistant at Eichebaum Labs at Boston University.
