Mahdi Karabiben is a data enthusiast and professional with a passion for uncovering solutions within vast sets of information. He began his career at Democracy International, where he assisted Tunisian ministries in handling electoral data.

Transitioning to Numberly, Mahdi focused on constructing data pipelines utilizing Big Data technologies. His journey further advanced into the financial sector, where he engaged in cutting-edge data projects.

Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at Zendesk, Mahdi is actively involved in creating data-driven products. Beyond his professional commitments, he engages in open-source data ventures during his free time.

With expertise in Big Data architectures, using tools like Hadoop ecosystem, Apache Spark, and BigQuery, Mahdi also excels in Cloud technologies such as AWS and GCP. His skill set includes ML Ops, Apache Airflow, and Apache Superset among others.

Mahdi's educational background includes pursuing an Engineer's degree in Computer Software Engineering from the National Institute of Applied Science and Technology.

Throughout his career, he has held positions at various renowned organizations like FactSet, Crédit Agricole CIB, and Numberly within the 1000mercis Group. Prior roles include Data Visualization Specialist and Data Engineer at Democracy International.
