Madritsch Herfried

Madritsch Herfried is a seasoned Project Manager with a background in geology. He holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Basel/Franche-Comté and an MSc in Geology from the University of Innsbruck. His extensive education and experience have equipped him with a deep understanding of geological processes and project management techniques.

Throughout his career, Madritsch Herfried has held various key positions in reputable organizations. Currently, he serves as the Section Head of Geology & Geophysics at Nagra - Nationale Genossenschaft für die Lagerung radioaktiver Abfälle. Previously, he has worked as a Senior Project Manager Geosciences, Project Manager Geosciences, Project Manager Field Investigations, and Research Scientist at the same institution. His roles demonstrate his versatility and expertise in managing geoscience projects.

Prior to his tenure at Nagra, Madritsch Herfried gained valuable experience as a Structural Geologist at a Freelancer and as a Field Geologist at the Geological Institute University of Innsbruck. These roles have honed his fieldwork skills and deepened his knowledge of geological structures and formations.
