Madhavankutty G is a highly experienced Economist with a Doctorate in Economics and over 16 years of expertise in macroeconomic research in both academia and industry.

Currently serving as the India Macro Strategist at Aditya Birla Group, Madhavankutty G plays a pivotal role in developing India macro strategies for various group businesses. Additionally, he is involved in risk management, policy advocacy, planning, and budgeting.

Previously, Madhavankutty G held the position of Lead Economist at ET Prime, a digital venture by Times Internet, where he authored over 100 thematic research reports on banking and macroeconomic policies. He was instrumental in conceptualizing and scaling the product, attracting 40,000 subscribers and generating revenue of INR 12 Crore within two years.

With a significant tenure at Bank of India as a Senior Economist, Madhavankutty G contributed across various divisions including Strategy, Treasury, and risk management. He was actively involved in the Asset-Liability Committee, enhancing treasury profitability through in-depth research on bond yields and interest rate movements. His strategic inputs to the front office and collaboration with the MD & CEO's office were key to the bank's success.

Madhavankutty G started his career as an Economist at Andhra Bank and later worked as a research fellow at ICFAI University, Hyderabad. He has a notable academic passion, often assuming the role of a lecturer at esteemed institutions like SP Jain Institute of Management, K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies, IMT Nagpur, and NMIMS University, Navi Mumbai.

His educational background includes a Ph.D. in International Economics from Osmania University, Hyderabad, a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers in Banking & Financial Management from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, and a Masters in Business Economics from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
