Later, they furthered their academic journey by studying for a Master of Science in English Language and Literature, focusing on Literature and English Language at the University of Edinburgh School of Philosophy, Psychology, and Language Sciences.

Professionally, Madden Swan has excelled in various roles, showcasing their expertise in communication and content strategy. They currently hold the position of Content Strategist at Northwestern Mutual, where their skills contribute to shaping effective content strategies. Previously, Madden served as the Communications Lead at Fiserv, demonstrating their proficiency in the realm of communication. Prior to this, they shared their knowledge and passion for writing as a Writing Instructor at the University of Maryland University College.
