Maarten den Braber is the Founder and Strategist at Population Health Data NL (PHDNL), a role he has held since January 2021. PHDNL aims to enhance the usage of secondary data in health by creating a collaborative ecosystem involving both public and private partners. This initiative provides access to a public data infrastructure, tools, models, and a learning community for policymakers, researchers, and health professionals to analyze and evaluate population health effectively.1
In addition to his role at PHDNL, Maarten is the Founder and Managing Director of Nexthealth, a strategy and research company focused on the intersection of technology and health. He has extensive experience in strategic advice and interim management, working with various organizations to navigate challenges in digital health and population health.1
Maarten is also involved in several other initiatives, including:
- Project Lead for Populatie Inzicht at Hi!Noord, which focuses on improving secondary data usage in health policy in Northern Netherlands.
- Supervisory Board Member at Pluryn, an organization supporting individuals with complex care needs.
- Co-founder of Mastodon.nl, a decentralized social network for the Dutch community.12
