Dr. M. James Eliades is a distinguished individual with a diverse educational background. He holds a BS in History from the University of Michigan, an MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine, and an MPH with a focus on Refugee Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Additionally, he has studied Basic Cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu Paris and completed the Epidemic Intelligence Service program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Dr. Eliades has been involved in various reputable organizations, having held several key positions. He has served as the Asia Malaria Elimination Director at Population Services International, the Technical Director of MalariaCare at PATH, and as an EIS Officer and Medical Epidemiologist in the Malaria Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has also been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Population and Family Health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, focusing on the Program on Forced Migration and Health.
In addition to his academic and research roles, Dr. Eliades has also worked in a clinical capacity. He has been an Attending Physician in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke's and Mount Sinai West and a Resident in Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Furthermore, he has contributed his expertise as a Medical Officer in the Mekong Malaria Program and as a Consultant at the World Health Organization.
