Lyle Baumgarten

Lyle Baumgarten is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse educational background and a wealth of professional experience. He holds a Master of Arts in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art and a Master of Science in Innovation Design Engineering from Imperial College London. Lyle also earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Biology and Physics. He graduated with a remarkable 3.9 GPA from Grosse Pointe South High School.

Lyle's professional journey includes leadership roles in prestigious organizations. He currently serves as the UX Design Team Lead at TomTom, where his expertise in user experience design shines. Prior to his current role, Lyle was the Advanced HMI Integration Lead at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, showcasing his proficiency in integrating advanced human-machine interfaces. His experience as the Feature Lead for Voice Assistants & Navigation within the Human Machine Interface Group at FCA underscores his specialization in enhancing user interactions with technology.

Before delving into the realm of UX design and automotive technology, Lyle honed his skills in various domains. His past roles include User Experience Designer at DNA Electronics, English Teacher at CHUNGDAHM Learning, Product Developer at Sonovol, and Market Researcher at Lincoln Property Company. He also contributed to academic research as a Research Assistant at UNC Neuromuscular Lab and UNC Genetics Lab. Lyle has a multifaceted background, highlighted by his leadership as a Lead Sailing Instructor at Crescent Sail Yacht Club and Laboratory Assistant at Genesis Genetics in 2009.
