Lylan Masterman is an accomplished venture capitalist, investor, and board member with extensive experience in the tech industry. He was part of the founding team and a General Partner at White Star Capital, a global venture capital firm with over $600m AUM.
Prior to his career as an investor, Lylan led product and engineering teams for 15 years, including work on .NET at Microsoft, and multiple product lines at aQuantive, which was later acquired by Microsoft for $6.3 billion.
Lylan has served as a board member, observer, and advisor to several startups, such as Drop Loyalty, Unacast, and mnubo, as well as Raines International, a 50-year-old executive search firm. He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a degree in Computer Science and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
Lylan is a Kauffman Fellow, a prestigious educational and networking leadership development program for venture capitalists. His expertise in venture capital, product management, and engineering has been recognized and featured in various media outlets, including Cheddar, Business Insider, and Entrepreneur.
