Lukas Aichberger

Lukas Aichberger is a PhD student pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Artificial Intelligence as part of the ELLIS (European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems) PhD program.13 He is supervised by Sepp Hochreiter at Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) and Yarin Gal at the University of Oxford.3 Aichberger's research focuses on making predictions by machine learning models more reliable, specifically understanding if a prediction is under-confident or over-confident.1 He is currently a Visiting Research Scientist at the University of Oxford.3 Aichberger joined the ELLIS program in December 20212 and considers his journey into Artificial Intelligence as his most thrilling and fulfilling academic experience so far.4
