    Luiz Vaz is an expert in reading and criticizing Children's and Young Adult Literature with a degree in Fine Arts from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.

    He was part of Prof. Darcy Ribeiro's team that implemented the Cultural Animation Project in the Cieps, during the II Special Education Program.

    As one of the five founders of Centro de Teatro do Oprimido in Rio de Janeiro, under the direction of theater practitioner Augusto Boal, he has been actively involved in the third sector.

    Luiz has conceptualized, coordinated, and conducted workshops in social art and culture projects in communities across various programs and institutions, including Instituto Visão Futuro in São Paulo, Ong Interativa in Mato Grosso do Sul, REDEH, Programa Criança Petrobrás, and Projeto Excola in Rio.

    His artistic works in social projects have been referenced in books such as "Cidade Partida" by Zuenir Ventura and "Da Favela para o Mundo" by José Júnior. Luiz Vaz is also a contributing author to the book "Literature and Medicine: An Teaching Experience", published by Livros Ilimitados.

    With a published book and several theatrical pieces staged, Luiz currently leads Casa da Rua do Amor, a community development project through art workshops and cultural events, located in Santa Cruz neighborhood on the western zone of Rio de Janeiro, specifically on the border between the sub-districts of Saquaçu and Urucânia.
