Luis Fernando Gomar

Luis F. Gomar is a partner in the Corporate department at Paul Hastings, based in their Houston office. He has over 18 years of experience specializing in domestic and cross-border transactions, particularly in the energy, finance, and private equity sectors. His expertise includes mergers and acquisitions (M&A), asset acquisitions and divestitures, fund formations, joint ventures, project development, and structured finance. He frequently represents private equity sponsors and management teams in investments related to energy and infrastructure assets.12

Mr. Gomar has a strong background in advising energy companies across various segments, including power, oil and gas, and renewables. His work often involves negotiating engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, supply agreements, and commercial contracts, as well as facilitating project financing and development in regions including Latin America, Asia, and EMEA.12

Educationally, he holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Kansas School of Law (2005) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from the University of Texas at El Paso (2002).1
