Lucy Wimmer

Lucy Wimmer is the VP of Marketing at Accel, based in London, England.23 She joined Accel in November 2020 as Head of Marketing and was promoted to VP of Marketing in January 2022.21 She is responsible for the marketing, brand, and communications strategy and programs at Accel.1

Before joining Accel, Lucy was the Marketing and Communications Partner at EQT Ventures from August 2017 to November 2020, where she built the fund's marketing communications function and worked with portfolio companies on their marketing and communications strategies.12

With over 15 years of experience in the B2B technology industry, Lucy has held marketing leadership roles at social analytics company DataSift and online collaboration platform Huddle.1 She was the Global Senior Director of Marketing and Communications (November 2016 - August 2017) and the Director of Global Corporate Communications (March 2015 - November 2016) at DataSift.2 At Huddle, she was the Director of Global Corporate Communications from April 2011 to March 2015, and prior to that, she was the PR Manager from April 2010 to April 2011.2

Before going in-house, Lucy spent five years agency-side and was named one of PR Week’s Top 29 Under 29.1 She was an Account Director at Speed from March 2009 to April 2010 and a Senior Consultant at Rainier PR from July 2005 to March 2009.2 Lucy graduated from The University of St. Andrews in Scotland with an MA in English Literature.1
