Lucy Hendley is an experienced legal trainer who currently works as the Managing Legal Trainer at Lewis Silkin, where she manages a team of trainers and delivers legal training services to clients on employment law. Thanks to her compelling lecturing background and her former position as an employment solicitor working in the City, Lucy has a head for explaining challenging employment law concepts in an accessible and engaging way.

Lucy specializes in creating bespoke HR training programs on topics such as handling disciplinaries, grievance investigations, performance management, and mental health awareness. Her expertise extends to the realm of diversity, inclusion, discrimination issues, anti-harassment, and bullying, where she leads training courses for staff, managers, and HR teams. Furthermore, Lucy is a CEDR-accredited mediator and helps resolve workplace disputes.

Her work as a mediator has given her an ideal insight into workplace issues, which helps her clients resolve disputes skillfully, particularly when it comes to situational team disputes or where an individual and line manager’s relationship has broken down. Lucy is also a Disability Champion at Lewis Silkin, where she is passionate about highlighting issues faced by people with disabilities and providing a point of reference for disabled employees.

Lucy graduated from the College of Law with a Diploma in Law, earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with 2.1 from the University of Warwick, and also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Higher Education (PGCTHE) from Oxford Brookes University. She has held previous roles as a Solicitor in Employment Department at Taylor Wessing and at Linklaters, where she started her career as a Trainee Solicitor.
