Lucy Grierson is the Founder and CEO of Desperado, a western-inspired clothing brand she launched in 2023.14 She is an MBA graduate from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and has a background in consulting, having worked at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as an Associate and Consultant.3
Lucy's entrepreneurial journey began at age 15 when she started her first venture, Lulu's, creating fashionable undergarments for young girls.1 She later studied at the University of Michigan, where she participated in the Entrepreneurs Leadership Program.13
After graduating, Lucy worked at BCG in Denver, Colorado, where she developed a love for Western culture.1 This passion led her to create Desperado, which aims to elevate western fashion with high-quality, sustainably-sourced leather products.24
Lucy was accepted into the Zell Fellows program at Kellogg, which provided her with mentorship and resources to develop Desperado.5 She launched the brand's first production release, the Golden Edition featuring a women's Western Rider Leather Jacket, in July 2024.4
