Lucy E. Saxon is a dedicated individual who strives to bring warmth and meaning to the community through learning and teaching. With a passion for children's books and music, Lucy enjoys curating selections and sharing favorites with others. Her love for bringing people together for intellectual growth, coupled with a keen interest in art and culture, underscores her belief that these pursuits enrich life. Lucy values the library as a vibrant hub of activity and discovery. In addition to her cultural interests, she embraces technical challenges and has a fondness for learning languages, both ancient and modern. A talented musician, Lucy plays the guitar and harp, having lent her voice to various renowned choirs such as Silvertones of Strath Haven High School, Chamber Singers of Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges, and the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, even performing alongside the prestigious Philadelphia Orchestra. Her academic background includes a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature with Honors from Haverford College. Previously, Lucy E. Saxon has served as a French Teacher at SRS Globetrotters and as an Assistant Librarian at Swarthmore Public Library.
