Lucija Prelovec

Acting Director of Student Experience, Faculty of Science

Lucija Prelovec, also known as NMSTC, is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in science communication and education.

Lucija holds a Master's degree in Science Communication and a Graduate Diploma in Science Communication from Laurentian University, along with a Bachelor of Science honors in Marine and Freshwater Biology from the University of Guelph.

With a wealth of experience in various organizations, Lucija has served in key roles such as Acting Director of Student Experience at Dalhousie University, Acting Executive Director at DeepSense, Communications Specialist at ShiftKey Labs and DeepSense, as well as Science Producer/Communications Officer at Ocean School - L'École de l'Océan.

Lucija has also contributed her expertise as an Education Interpretation Officer at the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation, Host and Social Media Coordinator at Exploring By The Seat of Your Pants, and Canada150 Power of Ideas Presenter and Exhibitor at Perimeter Institute.

Her passion for science education is evident through her roles as a Science Educator at The Discovery Centre, Marine Science Educator at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, Educator at Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, and Intern at Blue World Institute of Marine Research and Conservation.
