Louise Slate

Louise Slate is a dedicated program manager and engineering consultant with over 20 years of experience in steering stormwater initiatives for federal DOD, local municipalities, private enterprises, and non-profits.

With a background in Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Louise focuses on sustainable environmental planning and regulatory compliance to create cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environments.

She excels in industry expertise and strategic planning, specializing in clean water compliance, emerging trends, regulatory compliance, stormwater management, nuclear quality control requirements, and DOD contracts.

Louise has extensive experience in contract and project management, serving as the primary point of contact for military contracts and leading various projects related to environmental permitting, land development, ecosystem restoration, civil site design, and stormwater management.

A proficient communicator, she has expertise in NPDES permit applications, NEPA documentation, environmental SOP development, and has published in peer-reviewed journals and participated in industry speaking engagements.

Louise Slate holds a Master's degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering with a concentration in Soil and Water from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources with a Minor in Latin American Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

She has held positions such as Program Manager and Navy Initiative Lead at Tetra Tech NUS, Associate - Water Practice at Amec Foster Wheeler, Project Manager at Stewart Engineering, HW Lochner, Water Resources Engineer at EcoLogic Associates, Jewell Engineering, and Soil Technician at Guilford County Planning and Development.
