Louis Lopez

Louis Lopez is an accomplished professional with an impressive educational background and a broad range of experience in the legal and journalism sectors. He pursued his J.D. at Harvard Law School, followed by an LL.M. in Labor and Employment Law at Georgetown University Law Center. Louis also holds a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Kansas.

Louis has held various significant roles in prestigious organizations. Presently, he serves as the Chief of the Policy and Strategy Section at the Civil Rights Division within the U.S. Department of Justice. His past experiences include being an Associate Special Counsel at the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, Deputy Chief of the Employment Litigation Section at the Civil Rights Division, U.S. Department of Justice, and Director of Human Resources, Security, and Facilities at Washington Post Digital.

Louis Lopez has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University Law Center. His legal expertise was further honed through roles as an Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, and Jenner & Block.
