Louis Dorval, an experienced entrepreneur and private sector development specialist, has devoted his career towards creating jobs in Africa. Louis has a mechanical engineering background from McGill University and an MBA degree with Dean's List honors from the University of Oxford - Said Business School. He has extensive experience advising social enterprises, starting his own ventures, and facilitating investments in innovation.
Louis is widely regarded as a strategy development expert, proficient in change and operations management, start-up consulting, and has immense Sub-Saharan Africa experience. He has co-founded Viamo, an organization that leverages mobile technology to improve the lives of people in underdeveloped regions, and has served as a board member at Engineers Without Borders Canada.
Louis has held several high-profile positions and has been affiliated with some excellent organizations, such as Meltwater Group, Kauffman Fellows Program, and Engineer Without Borders Canada. In the past, he has served as managing director, Meltwater Labs, as well as director of overseas programs at Engineers Without Borders Canada. Additionally, Louis has co-founded several organizations such as CommEx Mission, Scala Program at Engineers Without Borders Canada, and Equilibrium Consulting Group.
