Louis Grassi
Louis C. Grassi is the Chief Executive Officer of Grassi Advisory Group, Inc., a firm he has led since its inception. With a career that began in 1977, he has amassed extensive experience in taxation, accounting, and consulting. Grassi is known for his proactive engagement with clients, offering services such as profit-enhancement studies, operational reviews, and forensic accounting, which have significantly contributed to the success of various companies across multiple industries including construction, real estate, and healthcare.12
Grassi's leadership has transformed his firm from a startup to one of the largest accounting firms in the United States, currently ranked as the 55th largest firm nationwide and 17th in New York. Under his guidance, Grassi Advisory Group has received numerous accolades, including being named one of the "Best Managed Firms" by INSIDE Public Accounting for five consecutive years and recognized as one of the "50 Fastest Growing Businesses" in New York City.12
In addition to his role at Grassi, he has held various leadership positions within professional organizations. He served as an executive board officer for the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Grassi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Queens College and has completed postgraduate courses in taxation. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) .12 His contributions to the field extend to academia as well; he was an adjunct professor at Columbia University, where he taught finance and accounting at the graduate level.1
