Lotta Partanen is an innovation leader with 20 years of experience in business renewal in international business environments. She believes in grand vision, small steps, and gathering evidence while approaching tasks with humility to constantly learn and adapt.

Currently, Lotta leads the science-based spinoff incubator VTT LaunchPad and other incubation and acceleration activities at VTT Research, focusing on enabling industry renewal through new business creation.

In her role at VTT Finland, Lotta leads the deep tech spin-off incubator, aiming to transform research-based teams into fundable startups with impact. She advocates a lean design process that is experiential and measurable, emphasizing co-creation to facilitate effective learning and knowledge crystallization among stakeholders.

Lotta's professional journey includes roles at Philips Design, Nokia, Microsoft, Fortum, and her current position at VTT Finland. Her expertise spans strategic innovation design, service design, business design, competitive intelligence, and strategy projects. Lotta's educational background includes studies in New Media, Strategic Foresight, Interior Architecture, Furniture Design, and Architectural Design. She also holds an International Baccalaureate.
