A non-profit launched out of a fierce leukemia battle after uncovering so many voids in my treatment and one year hospitalization.  My world as a journalist (medical reporter) and patient collided as I fought for my life and what I found was a lack of diversity in clinical trials and a desperate need for the patient voice so we can improve outcomes and compliance.

Our mission at ArmorUp for LIFE is to advocate and educate about the "Power of PREhabilitation" and arm patients with the tools they need for success to PREPARE for Illness so they can PRESENT well to their medical teams and position themselves to PREVAIL.  We work to connect patients to leading doctors, advocate for them and help patients "Become their own HERO."

Fierce Leukemia Warrior who filed stories for Fox from my bedside during my fight, about my fight and how to ArmorUp and prepare others for the fight!

During a one year cancer fight and while departed from my then 2 year old little boy, I realized my fight was bigger than me and I found my purpose of inspiring people across the globe just like I did my entire career. This time the message was to ArmorUp and Get Fit for the Fight. I learned that being a health and fitness reporter for 20+ years may not have prevented this battle but it prepared me for the fight OF and FOR my life.

Each day I gave viewers and social media followers an honest look into a leukemia battle full of victories and set backs.

When doctors taught me that you may not always prevent but what matters is how you prepare for these moments --the ArmorUp Campaign and ArmorUp for LIFE non-profit and movement was born.

Founder and Director of Maggie's Hope, a non-profit to help families affected by Autism.
Recognized on the Senate Floor at the State Capitol for all the work of  "Maggie's Hope" and the countless families we helped.
- The state recognized April 4th every year as Maggie's Hope Day
- Expanded the non-profit to help families affected nationally
- Created and developed marketing brand and advertising budget
- Exceeded fundraising goals, inspiring staff and volunteer participation
- Event planner for various fundraisers from Galas to 10k run/ride generating more than 100k.
- Recruited and engaged diverse audience to support fundraising for "Maggie's Hope"
