Lori Schafer
Lori Schafer is a highly respected senior executive and entrepreneur, bringing over 30 years of experience in technology, analytics, eCommerce, consumer products branding, and retail to the table. She is the CEO of PlumSlice, a software solutions company that seeks to revolutionize retail & CPG processes via automation, workflow, and analytics. Lori spent the last 15 years as SVP, SAS Institute, heading up their global Retail/Consumer Brands business unit. Her area of expertise lies in consulting with retailers and brands on their digital transformation strategies in today's rapidly evolving world of omni-channel customer engagement and exponential technology growth. Schafer's industry experience spans startups to Fortune 100 companies, and she has worked in all major geographical areas, including Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and North America.
Schafer is a prolific author and co-wrote the Best Seller Branded! in 2010. The book accurately predicted how mobile, analytics, and social media would change the face of retail within a few short years. She is a Board Member of numerous public and private retailers, consumer goods, and technology companies, providing guidance on retail and consumer trends. Schafer is a former Board member of the National Retail Federation, and has served on the Board of Directors of several companies, including eFashion, A.C. Moore, and Trans World Entertainment Corp. Schafer has a B.S. from Miami University in Operations Research, Systems Analysis, Mathematics and Business. She began her career at Procter & Gamble.
