Lori Melichar

Dr. Lori Melichar is a distinguished labor economist with a Ph.D. and M.A., currently serving as the Team Director of the Pioneer Portfolio at the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

With a background in both economics and health policy, Dr. Melichar has been instrumental in managing various initiatives aimed at enhancing the healthcare workforce and promoting quality improvement research and evaluation.

Her expertise spans economics, labor economics, health economics, behavioral economics, logic models, evaluation, and nursing research, making her a key figure in the field of healthcare.

Dr. Melichar's educational journey includes studying Economics at Swarthmore College for her undergraduate degree and pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland.

Prior to her current role, she held positions such as Research Assistant at Project HOPE, Consultant for Corporate Strategic Planning and Policy at Pfizer, and Director of the Pioneer Portfolio at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
