Lori MacVittie

Lori Mac Vittie is a Distinguished Engineer in F5’s Office of the CTO, focusing on emerging architectures and technologies like cloud and edge computing, digital transformation, and application delivery. With over 25 years of experience in application development, IT architecture, and network and systems’ operation, Mac Vittie has a rich professional background. Before F5, she was an award-winning technology editor at Network Computing Magazine and an enterprise architect who played a pivotal role in transitioning a global transportation and logistics firm into the Internet era. Her software development credits include Nokia phones, Autodesk, and regional telecommunications companies. Mac Vittie is also known for co-authoring the CADD profile for ANSI NCITS 320-1998 and has authored numerous books covering security, cloud computing, and enterprise architecture. She holds an M.S. in Computer Science and is passionate about cheese and gaming systems.
