Lori Kletzer

Lori Kletzer is an accomplished higher education academic leader with over 30 years of experience in college and university settings. She holds a tenured full professor position and has a distinguished academic record in scholarship and teaching.

Her leadership style emphasizes strategic collaboration and academic excellence. She has a history of successfully leading and managing organizations, driving institutional growth, and fostering shared governance culture.

Lori Kletzer is devoted to inclusive excellence, creating a supportive and welcoming environment for a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from Vassar College. Lori has held various academic leadership positions, including Professor of Economics (Emerita), Interim Campus Provost, and Executive Vice Chancellor at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Her experience also includes roles such as Vice Provost and Dean of the Division of Graduate Studies at UC Santa Cruz, Provost and Dean of Faculty at Colby College, and Professor of Economics at both Colby College and UC Santa Cruz. She has also served as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Economics at Williams College.
