Bridgeway Corporation was a network management software developer whose products would allow both telecommunication service providers and enterprise customers the ability to integrate, monitor, measure and manipulate wide area network information. Additionally, Bridgeway created sophisticated tools to speed the development of SNMP proxy agents and the distribution of network management information.

(That was really cutting-edge way back in the early 1990's!) 

My position as Sales Assistant encompassed providing support to the East Coast based sales department, creating and maintaining our client database, scheduling meetings and training sessions, coordinating the schedules of our sales engineers, providing excellent customer service by knowing and understanding our products enough to speak clearly about them, and gathering/mailing direct marketing material to prospective clients.

When I started with Hi-TECH Connections, they designed and installed wiring plans for commercial buildings. We sold all kinds of CAT-5 and coax cables, connectors, couplings and metal whatchamathings we'd order from AMP (now Tyco Electronics). After a slight change in direction, they became more of a network integrator, moving from just the cabling to servers and routers - installing and then managing commercial computer networks.

As Front Desk Receptionist, I answered the phones and routed calls using a multi-line switchboard. I was also responsible for keeping our corporate resumes up-to-date as they were used often in contract proposals.
