Lois Scott is a highly accomplished financial professional with a long-standing career serving in various capacities in the public and private sectors. Her wealth of experience is evidenced by her over two decades of service in the financial industry as well as her impressive academic credentials. Lois holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University.
Prior to joining the private sector, Lois served in the public sector as the city treasurer of Chicago, where she managed the city's $7 billion portfolio and oversaw its investments. She also served as the chief financial officer of the Chicago Public Schools, where she was responsible for the school district's $5 billion budget.
Lois has even served in the federal government as a commissioner on the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, which was tasked with investigating the causes of the 2008 global financial crisis.
Today, Lois is the founder and CEO of CIV Partners, a financial and strategy consulting firm that specializes in advising public sector entities. She is also a board member of several organizations, including Ariel Investments, the Mayo Clinic, and the Museum of Science and Industry.
