Targeting the public, media, government and policymakers, we aim to push languages up the agenda, and to bring about a step-change in attitudes and policy. 

I work within the core team, helping with the website, events and external communications.

YearAbroadInsurance.com is a travel and emergency medical insurance policy designed specifically for UK university students to study, work or volunteer anywhere in the world for up to 18 months during their degree.

I developed the product with leading international insurer QBE and insurance broker Risk Management & Corporate Insurance Services (RMCI) to ensure that it addresses the needs of year abroad students.

We help students to become Global Graduates through international opportunities during and after their degree.

An opportunity to live abroad as a student is the most important, eye-opening and life-enhancing experience you can have. You learn things that transform you into a ‘Global Graduate’ - a young person with global skills like languages, travel experience and cross-cultural understanding. You have had the foresight to use your education to prepare yourself for an increasingly globalised workforce - for a job in the future which allows you to see the world, and work across cultural borders.

Global Graduates exists to help young people find out about the global opportunities available in university holidays, during degree courses and after graduation. We support them through all aspects by informing them about important things like money, mental health and accommodation abroad, while sharing articles, blog posts, questions and answers written by our community of students about their experiences. Through all of this, we help students become Global Graduates, providing them with listings of internships, traineeships and jobs from companies looking for young people who want to use their global skills in their careers: the ultimate goal!

I helped the founders of the business with all areas of their internet start-up, so I was fully involved with the site’s development, from design and usability to copywriting, marketing, PR and event management.

mydeco (now made.com) brings together the widest possible range of products from high street stores to niche retailers, thousands of inspiring looks to fit your budget, expert designers on hand for advice, and simple 3D tools to help you plan your room before you even open a tin of paint. You can also join our community to share ideas, swap decorating tips and show off your designs.

I was responsible for the information architecture of mydeco, focusing on improving the accuracy of the website’s search results and making mydeco.com more user-friendly by studying the traffic to various pages, adjusting the site accordingly and responding to customer feedback.

Users share information, help and advice about all aspects of their time away and get support from students who've been through the whole process already.
