Liza Pagano

Liza Pagano is a seasoned professional with a strong background in design and storytelling. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Parsons School of Design and has had a diverse range of experiences in the design industry, including roles such as Design Director at DonorsChoose, Director of Brand + Creative at JSTOR, Creative Director at JSTOR, and Art Director at JSTOR, amongst others.

With a passion for challenging conventions and creating new experiences, Liza excels in developing foundational stories that inspire and resonate with learners. Her work has spanned various industries, from Silicon Alley in NYC to launching HBO's streaming platform, showcasing her versatility and adaptability in different environments.

Collaboration is integral to Liza's approach, as she believes that great work emerges from aligning around a shared vision and leveraging each team member's strengths. Her leadership style focuses on fostering excellence within the team while maintaining a humble and kind demeanor, ultimately driving towards impactful and meaningful design outcomes.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Liza's interests in design extend to diverse areas such as the wabi-sabi philosophy, brutalist architecture, and the beauty of well-worn river stones. Outside of work, she explores the streets of New York City on her bike, constantly seeking new discoveries and hidden gems in the city she calls home.
