Liz Fong-Jones is a seasoned developer advocate, labor and ethics organizer, and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with over 18 years of professional experience.

Currently serving as the Field CTO at Honeycomb.io, Liz's career has seen her contribution to various projects, including the Google Cloud Load Balancer and Google Flights.

Bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise, Liz is known for her leadership as the former Principal Developer Advocate at Honeycomb.io and previous roles at Google as a Staff Developer Advocate and a Site Reliability Engineering Manager.

Liz Fong-Jones is a proud advocate for transgender rights and resides in Sydney, NSW, and Vancouver, BC, with her wife, partners, and a Samoyed/Golden Retriever mix. Beyond her professional endeavors, she enjoys playing classical piano and is actively involved in leading an EVE Online alliance.

Her educational background includes studies in Computer Science at both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Caltech.

Throughout her career, Liz has held notable positions such as Teaching Assistant at MIT, Undergraduate Research Fellow at Caltech, and Technical Operations Manager at Three Rings Design.
