Lise Keeney

Lise Keeney is the founder and Chief Goblin Officer of Date Like Goblins, a new dating platform designed specifically for gamers, introverts, and neurodivergent individuals.12 She is an avid World of Warcraft player and previously worked as a publicist for the dating app Hinge.15

Keeney came up with the idea for Date Like Goblins after experiencing a personal loss. Following her father's passing from cancer, she reflected on her life's purpose and what truly made her happy.1 This introspection led her to realize that traditional dating apps weren't meeting her needs or those of many others in the gaming community.

Drawing from her experience in the dating app industry and her passion for gaming, Keeney developed Date Like Goblins to offer a unique dating experience. The platform allows users to connect through voice chat while playing video games, creating a low-pressure environment for potential couples to interact.13

As the founder, Keeney is actively involved in the platform's development and promotion. She has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the project and is working on implementing various features to ensure user safety and satisfaction.14 Her vision for Date Like Goblins includes creating a supportive community for gamers to form meaningful connections in an environment where they feel most comfortable.
