Directed clinical research teams focused on fostering patient engagement, health behavior change and improving health outcomes. Collaborated with chronic disease networks and foundations and diverse stakeholders, including patients, families, clinicians, researchers, informatics, administrators, and payors. Developed and tested digital technologies to support clinical care in chronic diseases. Led the innovation of health care processes to improve patient-provider communication and collaboration. As principal- or co-investigator on 18+ multi-year research grants responsibilities included overseeing idea generation, grant writing, budget, project management, hiring, training, data collection, integrity and analysis, and presentation of findings to scientific and lay audiences. Work resulted in over $14 million in grant funding and 50+ presentations and publications.
•   Conducted research on digital health applications to support patient-provider collaboration and health outcomes in chronic illness. Led product development and project management from grant writing to presentation of results. Research innovations included:
      - 	Developed digital health platforms that improved patient and clinician co-production of chronic illness care, improved nutrition and growth in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF), enabled chronic disease patients to test impact of nutrition changes on health, and used patient reported outcomes to identify early disease exacerbation.
•   Spear-headed two proof-of-concept initiatives modeling stakeholder engagement in national chronic disease learning networks. Tested social media strategies for building engagement.
      - 	Created and disseminated a quality improvement-based training curriculum that increased patient-clinician collaboration in pediatric chronic disease networks.  
•   Collaborated with a pharmaceutical company in exploring how to apply mobile health technology to support symptom monitoring and patient reported outcomes.

Led the re-organization of the section of Pediatric Psychology, the establishment of the Division of Child Behavioral Health, and the development of the Pediatric Psychology Fellowship Training Program (10+ direct reports). Transformed pediatric psychology services from siloed and inconsistent to unified and evidenced-based. Integrated behavioral health services for medically complex youth in medical specialty clinics in collaboration with Children’s Special Health Care Services.                  hospital system and community to build referral network.
•	Training Director – Pediatric Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program: Initiated and led postdoctoral fellowship program. Developed business plan to ensure financial stability of training program.
