Lisa Gelobter is a notable tech executive, entrepreneur, and social activist with a wealth of experience in digital strategy, business operations, and product development. Her illustrious career in the industry spans over 25 years and includes working on several pioneering internet technologies, such as Shockwave, Hulu, and the ascent of online video. She is the CEO and Co-founder of tEQuitable, a company that uses technology to create more equitable workplaces by providing an independent, confidential platform to address issues of bias, harassment, and discrimination.

Lisa is a proud Black woman with a degree in Computer Science from Brown University. She has also studied at the International Ombuds Association, Isidore Newman, and Lycée Français de New York. Her experience and knowledge have earned her a spot on several boards/steering committees, including Obama Foundation’s Digital Council, Times Up, /dev/color, and The Education Trust. She has also been recognized as one of Inc.'s 100 Women Building America's Most Innovative and Ambitious Businesses and Fast Company’s Most Creative People. Eric Ries’ book The Startup Way features her in the spotlight.

Previously, Lisa worked at the Obama White House as the Chief Digital Service Officer for the Department of Education. Before that, she acted as the Chief Digital Officer for BET Networks and was on the Senior Management Team for the launch of Hulu. Lisa has also served as VP, Business Operations at Joost Technologies B.V., VP, Business Operations - nbbc at NBC Universal, Director of Product Management at Brightcove, VP, Operations and Product Management at Comet Systems, VP, Product Management at The FeedRoom, Director of Program Management at Macromedia, Software Engineer at Taligent, and Research Assistant in Mobile Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at Brown University, as well as Senior Technical Support Specialist at Bitstream.

As one of the first 40 Black women ever to have raised over $1mm in venture capital funding, Lisa is a trailblazer and inspiration to many. She remains devoted to making the world more inclusive and equitable, focusing on technology, media, and the social sector.
